Homestudy courses

Was visiting ratana to see if there was anything new there (there wasn't), when I noticed a Google ad at the top for a Buddhism Homestudy Course.
While I think it's good that there are homestudy courses, I don't see the justification for charging money for it. It's a service that benefits everyone (even if you're not interested in learning Buddhism), and it should be free because of that.
And it's been about 2 weeks now since I sent in my laptop for repair, and no word yet.
