Today is the 3 month anniversary of my moving to Folsom and starting a new job at Intel. The work atmosphere is interesting and challenging in the right ways, and I get along quite well with my colleagues. I'm also slowly exploring more of Folsom and Sacramento and figuring out what artistic activities there are - I've already seen a few plays, including AND THEN THERE WERE NONE by Agatha Christie, which I liked greatly - I have a weakness for her stories.

I also went to the Dickens Fair in San Francisco a few weekends ago, and words can't describe how wondrous an experience it was - the closest I can come to is that it was like being in an 1830s cosplay where everyone was completely immersed in the experience!

Some photos of the trip

Since then, I've also gone to Houston to watch several of my friends perform in two ragtime concerts and I have some photos on my Flickr as well.

Other than that, things are going along fairly well. I'm missing Seattle, still, but at the same time this is also an opportunity for me to explore new places, make new experiences and meet new friends!

I didn't know you liked Agatha Christie! I love her books (especially the Poirot series) ever since one of my uncles bought me a few of her novels for Christmas when I was in middle school. Probably also explains my love for mystery novels/games too. We should get together some time now that I'm back in California for good.

Oh, I love her books, particularly Poirot, Miss Marple and the twins Tommy & Tuppence!

Fun trivia: when I was "unemployed" in July, August and early September, in addition to preparing for interviews and working on coding problems, I also took the time to read almost every Agatha Christie book the library had on the shelves :P

Yes, we should! I don't have any Christmas plans currently other than perhaps meeting a friend around East Bay, though I'll be going to Seattle for New Year's for a few days. Or if not, we can always meet up some time (Sacramento's only a 2-3 hour drive, so I could easily do a day trip)

Yay! Congrats on settling in! :) I'm sorry that you had to leave Seattle, but I'm glad you're finding Folsom/Sacramento interesting and fun.
