I was, to put it mildly, surprised.

In gruesome detail )

I'm glad I did well for CS4254 and CS3255, though the CS4251 grade was a little surprising. The CS2281 grade takes the cake though. :)

My CAP went down by 0.02 points, but that doesn't make a lot of difference to me.

I need to start planning which modules to take for next semester, and rush my HYP (which hasn't gone anywhere much this month).

I think that given the circumstances, it's somewhat expected, and at least I'm happy that I didn't do badly for stats. It probably means that I have no chance of really improving my CAP though. This semester can't compare to the last in terms of SAP (semester average point), but here are some statistics anyway:

This is the first semester where my CAP was above 3.5, and now this means I have a dilemma again about whether I want to try and qualify for honours (IS will probably be it, though I'm not too sure - I may want to try EC or CM).

Anyway, I guess I'm pretty relieved; even though this semester was somewhat crazy and pretty stressful, especially for 3240 towards the end, when I had to deal with a somewhat-unreasonable team leader, and 2106 where my partner and I were coding right until an hour before the deadline.

Now, I have to decide whether I want to go for honours. But at least now my mood is quite a bit better than it was previously. ^_^

IE ate my earlier post (no Semagic here since this is a public computer at an Internet cafe) so I need to repost this.

I suppose, in hindsight, that I deserved the results I got. And it also means that I won't be able to get into a Honours degree unless something happens next semester.

I'll probably put some more detail later on why I felt I got the results I did here, because I only have 11 minutes left.

So my group got an A for the 3rd part of the project, after getting a B for the first two parts.

*(collapses tiredly)*

Am not doing very well for mid-terms so far... have passed them, but not very well... sounds like a lot of work will be needed.

Probably need to *seriously* hit the books next semester, going by how this is doing. But I guess I should've expected them, ne?

Damn I feel bad about missing the cut-off again, this time by 0.03. But there's still next sem to worry about first.

Just got an e-mail, saying that they'll be out on the 27th of May at 4pm.

I'm trying not to think too much about it.

Well, despite the initial screwups and some bloopers I didn't even remember making (^_^) I managed to get a 78 while my partner got an 82. *feels relieved* Maybe I can actually get a A for this module...

Exams are in 7 days time.

I really need to do well, especially for 1102 (which is 5 credits! Need at least a B or B+ here).

What I think I'll get:
1102 (anywhere between C+ and B+)
1104 (well, I think I'll be getting a B going by my results so far for CA)
2250 (hopefully B or B+, but realistically probably not anything higher)
2301 (hopefully - really hopefully - A or A-)
1361 [Genes & Society] (I really have no idea... B- ?)

Whatever the case, I need to increase my CAP to at least 3.5 if I want to qualify for a 4-year programme. Even though we have up to 5 semesters (that is, until 1st semester of our 3rd year) to switch between programmes, it gets harder when you're in year 2 to switch.

52 out of 100...

Well, at least I didn't fail. But this doesn't bode well for the final exam.
nyankoframe: (Default)
Okay, there was a bit of improvement, I got 18 out of 30, but it's still not very good... and I'm hungry and sleepy.
nyankoframe: (Default)
I scored 6 for the first part and 9 for the second, making a total of 15 out of 31. In other words, not good.

If it's any consolation though, the average was around 16.
nyankoframe: (Default)
Well, I'm relieved that it's over, but I think I screwed up both sections of the test; the maximum I can realistically expect is 5 marks from the first section, and about 13 marks from the second, making a total of 18 over 31.

Damn, I really need to study harder. -_-"

Well, I didn't do entirely as well as I expected, and there's still room for improvement, but I guess it's somewhat of a good thing that I didn't fail any module. =P

Just for reference, here are the results:

CS1101 PROGRAMMING METHODOLOGY A
CS1105 COMPUTING AND SOCIETY B
CS1231S DISCRETE STRUCTURES (ACCELERATED) C+
GEM1001M INTRODUCTION TO RATIONAL INQUIRY C+
HY3226 USES OF THE PAST: MEMORY,HERITAGE & HIST B-
