I was practicing recording my singing of a possible duet item, and while recording, my left thumb kept bleeding and spreading blood all over my palm. >_< I put a plaster on it and that seems to have eased the problem somewhat, but it's still disturbing that it's bleeding from almost exactly the same place where it's bled before (most notably during one of my exams while I was in my second year of university).

I'll see if it gets better tomorrow and record again during in the morning (my first three attempts today didn't really work very well for various reasons - either I was off-key in various places or my voice was too soft).

Blood.... >.<

That vaguely reminds me of when I was playing tennis with a friend, and I somehow managed to cut my palm (not sure how), and it bled in a perfect circle.

Take your time with the recording!

Ouch! >_< Though I could think of one possibility being the racket strings...

It seems now though that my cuticle around that area is damaged, and possibly the stress of playing the piano (as well as the mental stress from recording?) might have caused it to start bleeding.

In any case, there should be something soon, I hope. ^^;;

I think it may have been the cap to my energy drink, actually. Since it was about the same size. Just didn't remember ever cutting myself on it, but... ^^;;;

Cool. As soon as you get it to me, I'll do a rough of my part, and we can have a rough, early draft to torture people with listen to.

I was gonna say "The mystery of the bleeding thumb" followed by "It's a mystery nano da!" but I guess it's not really a mystery after all. ^^; I've heard of injuring fingers playing the guitar, but the piano? :p

It's true. Some pieces can put a lot of stress on your fingers, especially if you have to hit the keys violently/hard. ^^;;

My (piano) duet partner for last year injured his elbow and had to wear a sling for a while from playing Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody no. 2 too hard ^^;;; Fortunately he was able to recover in time for our duet. :P

Sorry I actually read this today while quickly reviewing friend posts... There was one time when I was helping dad in the kitchen with the cooking. I cut my finger while cutting the pumpkin. You know what? Dad threw me out of the kitchen saying that I was going to spoil the food with blood. He didn't worry about my poor bloody finger!!! Waah!

It's ok about the delayed reply. :) That's rather weird though, but I guess maybe your dad was in a hurry to cook the food or was worried even if you bandaged your finger blood might still seep through? ^^;;
