Hey, actually, as I was driving back I realised why I fucked up my mock driver's test story! It's because what happened was I was on a one way road, and was told to take a left turn. I just assumed it was another one way road and turned left, onto the first available lane, right? (And now I remember why it wasn't as difficult to correct my mistake as it was when I told it.) Turns out it was a two way street that I had turned onto, so all that happened was I switched into the right (both direction and correct) lane, haha.
