At somewhat frightening speed, no less...
I had a nice Thai buffet lunch with juening at the Banquet in Clifford Centre (near herhideout office), followed by a nice dessert at a Toast nearby, before going to the San Bookshop at OUB Centre, where I bought two Stephen King novels, "Pet Sematery" and "'Salem's Lot". They're ones I haven't read before, even though they're not his latest works, and they're written in such an enthralling, gripping way that even reading them in broad daylight on board a moving bus, I couldn't quite suppress a nervous thrill that ran down my spine as I turned the pages. And yes, I've already finished both novels I felt slightly weird afterwards for a while, and freaked out was hyper-aware of things around me, but I think it's all okay now. They're just works of fiction. ^^;;;
When I got home, there was an email about the pre-move survey that's going to be conducted before my things are packed. Apparently my contact had tried to call me but my phone was off, and had called my office(I don't have an office?!) as well with no response. I'm going to call them tomorrow to schedule a date/time for the survey next week (it would've been this week, but the visa stuff still isn't here yet...), but since I currently have pathetically little to pack...
... it's time to go shopping with my mother! :D
( Shopping list )
This list originally started when my mother and I were discussing how empty my room was, as it consisted of my books (both textbooks and fiction), CDs and other miscellaneous things, and how that wasn't worth being packed. :P
