On Saturday night, my brother and his wife took my family, as well as my aunt and cousin who were visiting from Sri Lanka, to the 211 Rooftop Cafe at Holland Village Shopping Centre.

Even though I've been to that building more than once, this was the first time I'd heard of this place. :P And even though it wasn't cheap (I think on average a main course was between $12 and $16), the food was excellent. I ordered a beef lasagne as my main course, although the restaurant also had a weekend special of BBQ Australian dishes such as lamb and salmon. Those were considerably more expensive at $28 each, though, and I didn't want to make my brother *that* poor. ^_^;; The others ordered their own courses, the most popular being the pasta dishes.

For dessert, I had about half of a crème brûlée (if you're interested, it looks something like this) and a piece of tiramisu soaked in Kahlua. Perhaps that contributed to my happy mood as much as the lasagna did. ^_^

In any case, this is definitely a restaurant I'd want to go back to again, and I even intimated to my mother that I'd come back with someone else for an intimate time alone. You can make of that what you will. :P
