My experiences with HP
I sent my cousin's laptop for repair because the hard disk was making some noise and it wouldn't boot up. It only had 1 year's warranty, so they said that it would be treated as an out-of-warranty item.
So I get a call about two days later telling me that the hard disk needs to be replaced, and that it'll cost $620. After consulting my brother, we agreed to it, though it was rather steep.
So you can imagine how we felt when I got a call yesterday that the motherboard needed to be replaced as well, for an additional $1300+. We decided to cancel the repair at that point, so we would have to pay $50.
So today I go to Alexandra, because that's where I wanted to pick it up originally, and they tell me it's been sent to Wheelock instead.
There's no straight bus, so I had to take a 100 to the Fullerton, then a 162 to Orchard...
I can't really recommend HP laptops anymore.
