One for the lawyers out there

The Connecticut Supreme Court has ruled that GIS data (basically maps and so on) cannot be kept secret and must be made available under the Freedom of Information Act.

It would be very interesting to see if this'll happen in Singapore and whether, for example, air-photos and other maps could be made available. (Although perhaps not air-photos of military installations.)

Two things really (for the Singapore bit)

1. We don't have an equivalent of the Freedom of Information Act
2. We have the Official Secrets Act

So no go here I fear
