Food for thought

Bumped into an article on K5 on why Orson Scott Card is apparently fascist in nature.

While I've never read any of his SF books nor much else about him, I find the article and its comments interesting as you can see both sides of the argument emerge.

Shaun here. I totally disagree really. Read the entire Ender series and I don't think it in anyway could even rationally be seen as being a Nazi apologist. Unlike Hitler, Ender knew not what he was doing.

But I can see why it could be read as Fascist. Problem is that Fascism, like Communism only really works theoratically. Got a book on Fascism if you wanna borrow.

Oo! I think I will wait to read that article, as I haven't read any of the Ender's Game books yet. I probably wouldn't understand most of it. ^_^; If my brother EVER finishes reading them, I will get around to it...

it's funny how the author's being blamed for character's he writes for.

That would mean every smut writer believes in casual sex at all points. =)
