Operation Furniture Freedom: Mission Accomplished~

Yes, finally, about 3 weeks after getting the furniture, it's almost all done! [*]

Some pictures under the cut:

The bed frame gave me several headaches, but I eventually got it assembled. *glares at two particularly stubborn screws* After that, the rest of the bed (mattress, pillow, pillow cover, blanket, quilt cover and quilt) was a piece of cake. XD And it hasn't collapsed on me yet

Still a lot of tidying up in progress in the living room/entrance, and there's a large empty space near the Xbox where the TV and stuff will eventually go, but at least it's in a condition where I can actually get a TV. ^^;;

I should also get a shoe rack at some point...

And I have way too many DVDs, CDs and Xbox games

Picture of the bedroom from the door, showing the computer table (which was the only piece of furniture I had to ask someone for help with this afternoon).

Another picture of the bedroom, showing the bedside cupboard, lamp, bed and dresser with various things on it: perfume, perfume samples, pomade, hairbrush from Body Shop, various things and lots of junk mail. Yes, junk mail is on my dresser for now. ^^;;

I assembled two bar stools, as well as a sofa (that doubles up as a bed) and coffee table. So now I can actually entertain people. ^^;;

My workstation~

I'm actually starting to plan for a somewhat belated housewarming some time early next month, in the weekend of a certain day. ^^

[*] The only things still not done yet are a keyboard sliding bench (which needs a drill that I don't have and am too lazy to find/buy) and a wire bundler rack for the table, which also needs some heavy hammering and nailing work.

Lesson learned from my parents: keep a little soap bar end around when doing carpentry and roll screws and nails in it before screwing/nailing them. Take that, friction!

... not that that's terribly helpful NOW, I guess. :)

At last I was able to get to this post. Everything looks nice. Glad you've been able to manage, even if you did require some help for some things in the end. I'm also glad the bed didn't kill you since I remember you saying that you thought you would die by assembling the bed. :p
