wao's painting won a Distinction award in the Youth category at the just-concluded 25th edition of the UOB Painting of the Year competition for her painting "[redacted]". She won $300 which she'll use to buy a new tablet and also a lot of praise, including having her picture taken with the President. :)
Her painting consists of a dead tree in the desert with a raincloud hanging over it.
If you want to send her a congratulatory message, you can leave her a PM at the Animesuki forums or a comment on her LJ entries (hopefully that will get her to update too :P)
